New hydraulic fluid & filter. Propeller tuned & balanced. The bottom of the hull was vacuum sanded & 2 coats of bottom paint were applied, as well as fresh zincs.

Shawn Parkinson – Vice President, Business Administration & Brokerage Support
Raised in a family of boatbuilders, Shawn has been on the water since birth and was confidently driving boats by the age of three. Today, as Vice President of Park Isle Marine, he blends that lifelong connection to boating with a strong academic and professional foundation.
Shawn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with a minor in Business from the University of Victoria. This background, paired with his hands-on experience in custom yacht construction, refits, and yard operations, allows him to bridge the gap between technical knowledge and business acumen. From overseeing logistics and communications to supporting brokerage transactions, he ensures every client feels supported from start to finish.
Dedicated to carrying forward Park Isle’s tradition of West Coast craftsmanship, Shawn helps clients achieve their boating goals while keeping the yard and brokerage running at their best.

Roy Parkinson – Founder & President, Licensed Yacht Broker, BCYBA
As Founder and President of Park Isle Marine, Roy has spent more than 30 years as a yacht broker, over 42 years as a boatbuilder, and a lifetime on the water. His boating journey began at just 2 ½ years old, cruising the Gulf Islands and Pacific Northwest with his family, and he has never stopped exploring these waters.
Roy completed a boat design and construction course in 1983 and went on to finish a boatbuilder’s apprenticeship, skills that laid the foundation for decades of custom builds, restorations, and successful brokerage deals. Few brokers can match his unique combination of hands-on design, construction, and brokerage experience.
When he’s not working with clients, Roy can be found at the helm of his custom-built Fathom 43, cruising through the Gulf Islands. It’s where he finds his peace — on the water, living the lifestyle he helps others achieve.
